Romney vs. Obama debate – who won? Answer here.
By my account, Romney won it hands down. Not so much on substance but definitely on style. Romney appeared confident and smiled a lot. Obama appeared nervous, looked down a lot and made little eye contact with Romney.
“Mitt Romney energized his campaign for president Wednesday night, charging out of his first debate having by most accounts from both sides of the political spectrum dominated President Obama in a stand-off for which he was evidently well-prepared.”

The other side of this is that they are both full of Baloney. Both made statements not backed up by fact. More importantly though is that neither has a plan to reduce the deficit, pay down the national debt or make any serious efforts at tax reform. As for Romney vs. Obama in this debate they both get the Baloney Stamp.

It is hard to believe that Obama did not call Romney out on his “job creation” claims; Romney made his fortune buying other companies with leveraged debt, grabbed all his fees and then left said companies saddled with debt. Romney does not know how to create jobs; he only knows how to make money from borrowed money. How can the GOP talk out of both sides of their mouths? On one side, they keep screaming: “Where’s the jobs. Mr. President????” and through the other side the cry about government interference in the market economy (i.e. auto company bailouts which did save thousands of jobs and the economic stimulus that also preserved countless police, fire and teaching jobs). Claiming to know how “to create jobs” is easy; actually setting policy that will incent companies and business owners to keep factories and jobs in the US is not. The bottom lines is that while Obama is not perfect, he genuinely cares about all Americans, not just the top 1% and the job of president is much more than the economy; it is about leading a country. The government is NOT a corporation and we should not expect it to be run like one. It is an elected body (except the Judicial Branch) that we chose to provide services for us as citizens.
